Faith Group March Challenge!!!

Hello everyone!!!. Double post today!!!. Our Faith group have a challenge every month on the 31st and this month was my turn to hostess the challenge!!!. So I challenged everyone in the group with this description:

The Light of my Life!!!. I got inspired by the stamp set from Our Daily Bread "Light of the World". It has a lighthouse, which I'm a big fan of, and has my favourite sentiment that belongs to my favourite Hymn "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation Whom shall I Fear?.

1. Try to use a lighthouse in your project or something that represents LIGHT in your world/life.
2. Use at least two different scrap of designer paper.
3. Since the theme is light use some bling on your card/project.-

Since it was my month I tried to put a special meaning on it. The lighthouse and the beach represents my mother (she loves lighthouses like me We used to spend every summer at her house on the beach back home in Argentina, lots of wonderful family memories back there). The three pearls represents my three sons, the lights of my life (didn't use bling though, very masculine card I thought!!!). The Flourish represents the waves in the sea. The wheels??? in the designer paper represents my father (he worked all his life on ships travelling the world) last but not least the sentiment represents my husband (no need for explanations there!!!).

For this card I used:
Cardstock: Whisper White and Night of Navy from SU
Designer Paper: AHHHH!!! I can't remember the name and I can't find it either. I'll look for it and post it later, sorry!!! but it is from SU
Stamps: Light of the world from Our Daily Bread and the sentiment is from the set My how you've grown from MFT
Ink: Night of navy from SU
Accessories: Pearls from Recollections, Flourish die, First Prize award ribbon die, Oval star all from MFT. Scallop oval spellbinder and paper piercing tool kit from SU.

Children should not live in FEAR!!! Please watch, help me spread this out!!!

Hello everyone. I opened the news today and saw this video. Sometimes we could think..."it is so bad what happens in the world" but after a while we keep going on with our own lives. Very often I think of people in the world that are suffering and I also think..."there is nothing I can do", or I have to hear people telling me "well if we start thinking about everything that is going on in the world"... and again..."there is nothing we can do..." Well today I'm trying to do a little something. It is not much but if we all do "a little something" maybe we could get somewhere.

Please spread it out!!! Don't give your back to CHILDREN... of any culture, social status or religion. They are the ones that, if they know how, could make a better world!!!. My prayers and thoughts for each suffering person in the world.

Crafty Gals March Challenge "Not Luck... Blessings"

Hello everyone!!!. New month, new challenge at my Crafty Gals Group. This time our leader Melina challenged us with this:

"NOT LUCK......BLESSINGS!"

Okay, so this month we celebrate St. Patty's day. Well, some of us do. I never have gotten into it that much even though I have some Irish blood in me. I guess my thing is I don't believe in luck. I believe in blessings.  So, I love saying "Have a blessed day" when I'm out and about on St. Patty's Day! LOL!
So, my challenge for you is to create a project whatever you'd like, a card, scrap page, 3D item, etc....using these things:

1. 2 different shades of green.
2. Make the sentiment a "blessings" or "thankfulness" theme.
3. A Nature element somewhere on your creation. Examples: plant, sun, flower, grass, etc image and/or use patterned paper with plants, grass etc.....Any Natural element you can think of on your project.
I want you to really go "green" on this challenge!

Faith Group February Challenge!!!

Hello everyone!!!. The card I made is for our Faith Group challenge. This month our host Jackie challenged us to make a card with this instructions:

We all know that February is the month of LOVE so my challenge is for you to create something with LOVE in mind.....with a bit of a twist

Usually, the cards made during this month are all red, pink & white but I want you all thinking outside the box:

I want you to use NON TRADITIONAL colors to create your project

Your creation must be made with NATURE as the main theme....flowers, trees, mountains, water---you get the idea

Finally, I want to see at least 1 circle shape on your creation

I know it is a simple card compared it with the ones I've been doing. But it is not a traditional love colours and I wanted to use some neutral ones. It has been a while since I don't use neutral colours and also with this big stamp you don't have room to use DPs. But I like it!!!. I hope you like it too!!!

For this card I used:

Cardstock: Brown, cream and black from Recollections, Sahara Sand from SU
Ink: Early Expresso from SU
Stamps: Elements of Style and Perfectly Penned from SU
Accessories: my nail to do the distress border, circle Spellbinder and brads from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for looking!!!
