The Creation!!!

Good morning everyone!!!. As you may know, I belong to a Faith based group at SCS. Kelly, our leader gave us this month's challenge with a beautiful inspiration "Genesis", The Creation. We had to make a project featuring this inspiration, and the moment I read about it I thought of this SU stamp set. I don't have many landscape stamps but this is not only one of the few but my favourite. I know the sentiment is not from Genesis but is MY favourite Psalm. At my church we have a hymn with this lyrics, the choir sang it to me when I got married and every time I hear it I cry like a little girl. LOVE IT!!!, that is why I used it. I still think that the picture though features the challenge!!!.

Please visit the Faith group on the right side of my blog, they all have great inspiring projects for you to see, and leave some love for us. We all need a little bit of that!!!.

For this card I used:

Cardstock: Cream from Recollections, Whisper White and Rose Red from SU
Designer Paper: Classic K from K&Company
Stamps: Light of the world from Our Daily Bread and Lovely as a tree from SU. I used the Watercolor Mini stamp set (the one with the little dots stamp) to make the tree's leaves.
Accessories: Spellbinders from the frame (don't remember the name). Martha Stewart Pine Branch punch, Rose Red brads, Victoria Ribbon and Paper Piercing tool kit all from SU. Copic Markers to colour the image, Memento Tuxedo Black ink to ink it, Rose Red ink from SU for the sentiment and Crumb Cake ink for sponging the edges.

Thanks for looking.

They were so "Little"...

Hi everyone!!!. I am happy that I made another step into my scrapbooking. I am so behind!!! This little baby now is becoming a teenager!!!. I think I do better at cards than scrapbook pages. I like my cards busy; borders, flowers, pearls, details and I find difficult to make a busy scrapbook page, not only I have three boys... (you have to be careful with boys, I am planning to give them a scrapbook each), so I don't think they will care about flowers, pearls and so many details... plus I can't storage my pages in my albums with so much stuff on them, I find it hard. That is why I think my pages look kind of empty, but anyways I enjoy making them  and this one is no exception.

Here is my page:

For this page I used:

Cardstock: Whisper White
Designer Paper: Nana's Nursery from DCWV
Stamps: Alphadots from SU
Ink: Lavender Lace from SU
Accessories: Banner die from MFT, Buttons from ebay ;) and twine from the dollar store

I love you Gesell!!!

Good morning everyone!!! Today I'm posting a card that I made for my Faith based Group. Each one of us had to give to another lady three colours to work with and Carol gave me this three colours: Light green, dark brown and white. I usually don't use light green card stock, maybe designer papers with that colour but it is not one of my favourites, but I really like the final result. Please visit my other "Sisters in faith" on their blogs and give them some love too!!!, they are on the right side of my blog, thanks!!!.

This card is dedicated to my best friend. He is always there... I'm in the kitchen, he is under my feet... I'm in the bathroom, he is waiting for me on the other side of the door... I'm working in my craft room, he is sleeping beside me... I should have called him shadow. He is a very devoted dog and the sweetest one I've ever seen. He is five and his name is "Gesell". Here he is:

And here is my card for him/me.

For this card I used:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate chip and Green Galore from SU
Stamps: Brandy and Emma from Unity
Accessories: Copic markers, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Square scallop spellbinder, Rosette die from MFT, Brown felt, pearls and Perfect dots embossing folder from SU and Martha Stewart branch punch.

My Sweet Cherry Pie!!!

It feels like I don't post for years!!!. I have to tell that scrapping my kids when they were this little, not only brings me memories but tears as well. I miss them so much when they were so small and dependable!!!. I am so behind their scrapbooks that I am determined to update them this year... we'll see!!!. I don't enter my scrapbook pages for any challenges or copy any sketches, it feels like it doesn't work for me. I have to see the pictures I'm working on and let my imagination do the rest. Here is what I came up with:

You are my prince!!!

Good morning everyone!!!. About my poinsettia card... Kittie told me that making this flowers can be really addictive... well, she is right!!!. I wanted to see what kind of flowers I could do with the punches that I have and I came with this flower. I love it!!!. The second I made it I thought of a Waterlily. I know the bottom part is not round but I like this version as well and after staring at it I thought... this flower needs a frog... frogs, princes, valentines, well everything goes!!! This card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge 223.

Thanks Kittie

I think I mentioned in my blog about Kittie Caracciolo's cards. I found them very delicate and beautiful, especially the Christmas cards. Since I started following her I wanted so much to do cards like that for Christmas... so.... after buying the punches I needed, I finished my first Kittie's style card.

It wasn't as hard as I thought, but it takes some time. She uses beautiful border punches but I don't have any yet so I decorated the corners with some small poinsettias and I love the final result. Don't they look gorgeous???. Please visit Kittie's blog and you'll see what I'm talking about, also she has lots of tutorials for everyone to learn:

For this card I used:

Cardstock: Cherry Cobler and Old Olive from SU and Cream from Recollections

Paper Princess Sunday Challenge!!!

Hello again. Happy Sunday. Time for another "Paper Princess Challenge" and this time I'm using the Mojo Monday Challenge Sketch so I'll enter the card there too. This Sunday the challenge is:
Sunday Challenge #6
Make a card or scrapbook page using black, white and silver (or as close as you may have) to ring in the new year. **Must have a stamped image of some sort on it.

Well after I did it, I read the challenge again and to my surprise it didn't say gold, it say "silver". I didn't want to do it again and I couldn't take the sentiment stamp of so... let's use our imagination and think that the gold part is in fact SILVER. It would have look better with silver, I have to admit that!!!.
Please visit the other Princesses on the right portion of my blog and leave some love for them too.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch:

Here is my card:

For this card I used:

Cardstock: White and black from Recollections and for the stamp Whisper White from SU
Designer paper: I think it is from Recollections as well. I bought it in Michaels but I don't remember.

Accessories: Black brads from SU, Paper piercing tool kit, Felt from Fabricland, White pearl from Pretties Kit from SU, Medium Rosette die from MFT, my sewing machine and... GOLD :( embossing powder from Walmart.

I know Christmas is over... but...

You might be tired of looking at Christmas cards... I know, me too. But I just got some things that I ordered and didn't have a chance to use this year. Anyways, I want to start really early with my Christmas cards, this past one was all at the last minute and I missed a couple of people, so one of my goals is to make 3 or 4 Christmas cards per month... by the time Christmas arrives I'll be done :). This card is for the MFT Wednesday Challenge #53. Another goal is to complete all MFT challenges. In 2011 there were 52 challenges and I only made 14, so this year I'm going for all of them. I love MFT challenges, not only you learn a lot but you can get prizes every week.

Here is the MFT Wednesday challenge sketch #53:
